Word problems are used to relate concepts to practical situations.

Students will be provided with Basic Mathematics

After completing the course, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and round whole and decimal numbers.
• Compute with fractions and express answers in proper form.
• Demonstrate an understanding of ratios and proportions.
• Determine the proper methods to solve problems based on problem analysis.
• Develop an awareness of the level of mathematics needed for occupational choices and for daily living.
