Spanish 2 Print
Spanish 2 continues to build on the vocabulary, grammar and cultural concepts learned in Spanish 1. Students will engage in conversations, conjugate verbs in the present and past tenses, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions. They will learn the content through a combination of reading stories, describing pictures and practicing their pronunciation of the language. In addition, they will understand the practices and perspectives of the Spanish and Hispanic cultures. Spanish 1 is a prerequisite.

Course Objectives
These course objectives are based on the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning.
After completing the course, students will be able to:
1. Engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.
2. Understand and interpret written and spoken Spanish on a variety of topics.
3. Present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience of listeners or readers on a variety of topics.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the practices and perspectives of the Spanish and Hispanic cultures, and make comparisons between these cultures and your own.
5. Reinforce and further your knowledge of other disciplines (math, science, art, etc.) through the use of Spanish.
6. Show evidence of becoming a life-long learner by using Spanish for your personal enjoyment and enrichment.
